About

Samantha Carter is one of the undergraduate research assistants in the Music, Action, and Dynamics (MAD) Lab at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). At UIC, she is in her third and final year of her undergraduate degree studying psychology and anthropology; she will be graduating in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Applied Psychology, minoring in Anthropology. Samantha's responsibilities in the MAD Lab include running subjects and collecting data with the fellow research assistants, analyzing the collected data, and other minor tasks as needed, including designing this entire website. Samantha has completed internships under Jason Soriano, Psy.D. for the Mercy Healthcare System in Rockford, IL as well as Envision Unlimited, a non-profit organization in Chicago, IL. Post-graduation, Samantha hopes to take a gap year before pursuing a Master's of Social Work (MSW) degree.
